No More Melancholy Mondays

No More Melancholy Mondays

Every once in a while, I find myself dreading the start of the week - it happens. But if you’re feeling that way every single week, it may be time to start considering a new role.

This newsletter is going to be short and to the point. It’s recruiting season, and Big 4 Transparency’s talent pool has suddenly become the hottest commodity, to the point that I need to call for more folks who are looking to change roles to come join in on the action.

The way it works is simple: you share the base criteria for a role you’d be interested in being contacted about, some basic information on how to reach you and your linkedin profile, and voila. If your base expectations are reasonable and there’s a good match out there for you, you’ll be contacted either by myself or a partner, and if you end up being placed through us, you get a cut of the action and we send you $1,000 to congratulate you on the new role.

There are a few things that make this different than your typical recruiter experience:

  1. You’ll only be contacted for roles that match your criteria. When I worked at Big 4, there’s nothing I hated more than being baited onto a call by a recruiter only to be offered some low quality role that did not align with my interests in any way. I’ve been there, and my #1 priority is not to waste your time.

  2. I’ve hand picked the people I collaborate with. Typically, folks I’m making introductions through the talent pool for are either firms who are using Big 4 Transparency to make sure their salaries are competitive, or recruiters I’ve built a relationship with who I trust to give you a positive experience.

  3. You’ll get paid if we get paid. I find that recruiters are charging too much of a fee to firms to not be offering candidates a better experience. When I’m working with firms and recruiters, in full transparency I’m charging them a fee of 6% of salary for a successful introduction. I think it’s only right that some of that finds its way back to you, so you get $1,000 once we get paid.

Here’s a quick sample of a few high priority roles I’m working with folks on right now:

  • Senior Tax Analyst, Industry, Ontario Canada (Ottawa Preferred), $85k - $105k + Bonus

  • Audit Senior manager, Remote (Canada), $150k + Bonus

  • Tax manager, Remote USA, $125k - $165k. Small, high-growth firm with no time-sheets.

  • Tax Manager, Senior manager, Director, Buffalo / Niagara Region, $160k - $250k. High Net-Worth Individual experience a plus.

  • CAS Manager, Dallas, $125k - $150k.

  • Senior Tax Manager, Dallas, $185k - $225k.

  • Tax Manager, Nashville, $150k - $170k + bonus.

  • Tax Senior in a wealth advisory firm, Remote (USA), $100k - 120k + Bonus

There are always new roles that may not be listed that can be added at any moment, so please don’t hold back if you’re interested but don’t see your fit listed above!
