Salary Guide - US Tax and Audit
Big 4 Transparency is back in a big way, and we’ll be releasing a series of salary guides for you leading up to the holiday season and beyond!
With the holidays just around the corner, it’s a good time to get your CPE or CPD wrapped up too. As today’s newsletter sponsor, LumiQ is offering subscribers 5 free CPE / CPD credit hours! I’m extra excited about having LumiQ back to sponsor the newsletter because not only is it a fantastic product I’ve been using for 3 years now, they were also the first ever sponsor of Big 4 Transparency when we launched!
LumiQ is a podcast app where engaging conversations with business leaders count as verified CPE or CPD. With over 600 episodes, LumiQ covers a wide range of topics, from soft skills and personal development to entertaining true crime financial stories and technical updates. Additionally, the platform simplifies your reporting process by tracking your requirements and progress.

I’ve found many of the salary guides out there to be quite inaccurate compared to the data submitted on the site so we’re here to set the record straight.
We’re starting with tax and audit streams and have excluded very high cost of living cities (New York and San Francisco) who will have their own guide released in a future email. We’ll also be following up in the future with a consulting salary guide, and a Canadian salary guide. Without further ado, let’s jump into the US guide!
Each level is showing percentiles within the band so you can easily situate yourself based on how far along the band you are, and the cost of living in the city where you are working. For example, a first year senior living in a the mid-west would likely find themselves on the low end of the percentiles for Senior, whereas someone who is a 2nd or 3rd year senior living in a higher cost of living area should be closer to the upper end of the band.
Do you know people in charge of sponsorships for accounting clubs in Colleges / Universities near you? I’m looking for introductions to pilot a new sponsorship program! If you know anyone who’d be a good fit, I’d love an intro and an opportunity to help support their accounting club!
